Feedback: A Staircase to Career Excellence 🪜

We are down to the last 90 days of the year! Can you believe it? I'm hoping to fine-tune my schedule a bit more, prioritize my physical well-being, and commit to continuous learning. What are some things you'd like to start doing in Q4?

Today, I want to dive into the topic of feedback. I know, just the mention of it might evoke a mix of feelings! 😬Let's just remember that feedback is an integral part of our growth journey. There's a healthy way to receive feedback; I'd like to help us focus on that.

Here are three strategies that have helped me become more receptive to feedback:

01 Open Mindset: When it comes to feedback, approach it with an open and receptive mindset. Understand that feedback isn't a critique of your character but an opportunity for growth and improvement.

02 Emotional Awareness: It's essential to be aware of your emotional state when receiving feedback. If you find yourself feeling defensive or anxious, take a moment to acknowledge those feelings. Take time to settle yourself.

03 Set Clear Intentions: Determine what you hope to achieve from receiving feedback. Are you seeking input on a specific project, decision, or your overall performance? Knowing your objectives will help you focus on relevant information.

When approached with the right mindset, feedback becomes a valuable contributor to your personal development. As we dive into this final stretch of the year, let's keep these strategies in mind and use feedback as a powerful tool to help us achieve our Q4 goals! 🏅
