Being a Graphic Designer: Things I Wish I Learned Earlier (Part 01)

Today, I'd like to share reflections on my graphic design journey. It turned out a bit lengthy, so I'll be splitting it into two parts. Stay tuned for part two!

Keep Your Insecurity In Check:

Embrace the uniqueness you bring to the table. In the dynamic world of graphic design, it's easy to let external factors impact your self-worth. Remember, being a great graphic designer is not only about creating visually appealing designs but also about embodying good character, integrity, and consistency. You can do well for yourself by being a well-rounded graphic designer.

Learn Business:

Graphic design and business go hand in hand. Whether you're an in-house designer or running your own business, understanding the mechanics of sales and branding is crucial. Design, in this context, is not just about aesthetics but a strategic tool to achieve specific objectives.

A quick note on the freelance trend: While the attractiveness of independence is understandable, remember that it takes a great deal of discipline. Working alongside someone who successfully manages a business will accelerate your learning and offer more comprehensive experiences than starting your own venture without prior experience.
