Creative Team Building

To unlock your team’s potential, start with yourself

Today, I’d like to share some thoughts on team building.

Ask yourself, “What am I working with?”

⚡️ You should have a “Bottom-to-Top” View

  • Know who’s at the “bottom”

  • Don’t just focus on who’s at the “top”

⚡️ They each have their own opportunities. You need both.

  • Bottom: They look up to learn

  • Top: They look down to serve

⚡️ Break it down:

  • Who’s on the team?

  • What are their strengths & weaknesses?

  • What’s the value of their contribution? Everyone is valuable but not everyone’s value is the same. Value isn’t equal.

⚡️ Have a vision for the team and the people in it

  • Speak to their potential and track it

  • Potential is unique

⚡️ Identify leaders

  1. Build them up

  2. Provide resources

  3. Bestow authority

  4. Extend responsibility

  5. Allow them to achieve
