Character As A Key Metric For Success

I’ve been thinking about the impact of character in our careers.

The “success” I’ve had has come from consistent character, not just skill. I’ve been granted “access” before I had skill. That’s a beautiful thing — it signals that those around you trust in you enough based mostly on character. Why? Because good character is embedded with qualities that see things through and do them well.

BE:

  • Consistent

  • Proactive

  • Authentic

  • Honest

  • Respectful

  • Skilled

  • Level Headed

  • Organized

  • Loyal

  • Ethical

  • Be a great collaborator and pleasing to be around

SO YOU CAN BECOME:

  • Better

  • Trustworthy

  • Reliable

  • First Pick

AND GAIN:

  • Access

  • Responsibility

  • Strength

  • Value

Don’t take character for granted. It’s a currency that will take you a long way if you steward it.
